Coast/Beach

La Barossa has a long sandy beach awarded the European Blue Flag. There are also lovely secluded sandy coves nearby, backed by low sandstone cliffs and accessed by walkways through the pine forests. In nearby Sancti Petri there is a water sports centre which hires out windsurfing boards and canoes and offers guided canoe tours of the watercourses of the nearby National Park.

Touring

There are many possibilities for touring in this area. The famous hilltop White Towns (Pueblos Blancos) notably Medina Sidonia , Vejer de la Frontera and the dramatically located Arcos de la Frontera, the popular resort of Conil, the historic city of Cadiz and the sherry bodegas of Jerez are all less than an hours drive. Seville and Gibraltar, even Tangiers by ferry from Tarifa are all easy daytrips.

Golf

Two 18 hole golf courses are about 10 minutes drive away and a 9 hole course about 20 minutes drive.
